Rochesterfest will be celebrating its 39th year of fun this year this summer. The event continues to be a highlight for community members and families, celebrating the great city of Rochester.
From live music, to food vendors, to themed events, there truly is fun to be had for all ages and interests! This year, Rochester Sports is organizing the popular "Sports Night" that will be hosted on Wednesday, June 22 from 6-8 p.m. at Soldiers Field East. The focus is to provide our great local sports organizations the opportunity to showcase their programs to the community.
Groups are encouraged to create a station for kids and families to get "hands-on" experience in a variety of sports through interactive activities, games, prize giveaways, and more. This can build a quick and positive message to families of fun, team, and valuable life skills. In addition, it will give attendees the opportunity to be introduced to a sport they may have never known about or even considered participating in.
Each of the participating organizations is given their own space to utilize as they please, so each will provide a unique experience for everyone. While often, the mission of Rochester Sports focuses on generating positive economic impact in Rochester via outside visitors in traveling to the city, it is also critically important that we support our local athletic and recreational community. Come and meet representatives from several Rochester area sports organizations, including many youth sports groups. Take part in various games and sports activities while learning more about the organizations, their seasons, camps, etc. Plus, register to win prizes. Fun and informative! If you are a group that is interested in joining Sports Night, send an email to pr@rochestersportsmn.org and we will give you the details on how to register. It is free to register, and it is free to attend!
Organizing and planning Sports Night directly relates to our mission of "providing leadership, guidance, and expertise" in sporting events in Rochester, and we look forward to yet another fun and informative night for all involved.
