The announcement comes prior to the start of the MYSA Summer State Tournament which will take place this weekend at the Fuad Mansour Soccer Complex and feature nearly 120 teams from around the state in multiple age groups. Rochester Sports has hosted the Fall State Soccer Tournament since 2006 and the Summer State Tournament for the first time last July.
With the amount of fields needed for each event and the amount of operational support needed to prepare for each tournament, knowing the dates of the event for the next several years will provide consistency and allow easier long-range planning. Rochester Sports has always appreciated the relationship with the MYSA and is excited to have both of these tournaments in Rochester for the next four years.
The Minnesota Youth Soccer Association expressed excitement as well knowing they will be hosting these tournaments in Rochester moving forward. “Rochester Sports and the City of Rochester are not only great hosts, they set the standard in all our statewide soccer events. Year in and year out Kids and families love coming to Rochester,” explained MYSA League Commissioner Cam Stoltz.
This weekend over 130 games will be played on 16 fields at the Fuad Soccer Complex for the Summer State Tournament beginning Saturday morning.
