“We are excited to be partnering with Rochester MN Sports for Sports Night as it is a great opportunity for people to take part in various activities on-site while learning more about the organizations that are participating.” explained Brent Ackerman, Executive Director of Rochesterfest. “It’s both fun and informative, and one of the highlights of Rochesterfest!”
After a great turnout and positive feedback last year, we look forward to once again providing families in the community with an opportunity to interact with many of the great local sports organizations as they showcase the programs they have to offer. As mentioned previously, kids can enjoy many of the “hands-on” activities and games, giving them a chance to participate in activities that they may never have considered before! Each of the 16 participating organizations is given their own space to utilize as they please, so each will provide a unique experience for everyone. Those in attendance will also have the chance to listen to a live sports talk radio broadcast by Dan Barreiro of KFAN 100.3 in the Twin Cities from 3:00 - 6:30 pm!
While often times the mission of Rochester Sports focuses on generating positive economic impact in Rochester via outside visitors in traveling to the city, it is also critically important that we support our local athletic and recreational community. This event helps us to achieve this goal and we hope that you enjoy this opportunity to learn more about the various groups in Rochester, all while enjoying a night of fun with the family!
